THE DIAMOND RING!!

This last one shows the Mayor of the city in Turkey in the Archive Theatre where the event was broadcast from and which was in the path of totality.

Isn't this an amazing world nowadays when I can tune in on my computer and feel as if I am right there on the other side of our planet, in Turkey, watching the solar eclipse LIVE!
At the same time, I was watching this occur live, I was talking live to a friend of mine in Greece!! What a technological world we live in....!

So why does my cell phone go dead when I need to call a tow truck!!!???!

A GUARDIAN ANGEL IN SAFEWAY

Well this takes the cake.. or I should say the MEAT!!

I was in Safeway yesterday moseying around the meat section , longingly looking at steaks and salvitating, as I eyed these packages of 2 huge meaty Strip Steaks that were REALLLY expensive. A package of 2 thick mouth-watering hunks of meat were priced at about $22 ...!! But since I am about 4 days away from a paycheck, there was no way was I gonna afford a steak, even a little measly 2 inch sirloin. However, all of a sudden, as I was looking down and daydreaming of one of those suckers on my dinner plate, I spotted this one package, and I thought my eyeballs were playing tricks on me....!

For there amongst several packages that were marked between $22 and $25, was a package marked .22 CENTS!! ~ BOING!!! ~ I had to look twice!! But sure enough, it was erroneously marked .22 cents instead of $22.00!!! So I quickly grabbed it and put it in my basket, wondering if I could get away with it at the checkout stand. I figured if they caught the mistake, I'd just say , "oh sorry, I'll put it back".

Well there are times when you are glad there are ding dong idiots that work in stores!! I picked a checkout stand that had the goofiest, dumbest looking checker!! And sure enough, the girl just glazed over it and scanned it and, sure enough, it went in it went as .22 CENTS!! HAHAHAHAHA!! So I got these 2 gorgeous steaks for just 22 cents!!

Tonight I enjoyed one of them.. All 11 CENTS of it!! !!
